Keith began his career in Scotland with Highland League side Fraserburgh, where he spent five years before his goalscoring exploits earned him a move to Dundee United. His two years at Tannadice brought just four substitute appearances, and he subsequently joined Falkirk. There he hit a richer vein of form, scoring 28 goals across two seasons before moving to Livingston. He remained with the club for a further two years, although his appearances and goals were limited.
The striker headed south to join Argyle in November 2001 and soon established himself as a popular figure at Home Park. His first goal for the club came against Rushden & Diamonds on 29 December 2001, when his strike secured a 1-0 home victory.
He played his part in a memorable 2001-02 campaign as Paul Sturrock’s side amassed 102 points to lift the Division Three title. Among the season’s highlights were two league victories over Exeter City. In the 3-0 win at Home Park, Keith scored a brace, with his second goal a spectacular 23-yard chip over the Exeter goalkeeper. He also registered one of the quickest goals in Argyle’s history, scoring the only goal of the game after just 29 seconds against Bristol Rovers on Easter Saturday 2002.
Two seasons later, Keith collected a second championship medal as Argyle won the 2003-04 Division Two title with 90 points. Injuries had restricted his opportunities at Home Park, and a notable proportion of his appearances had come from the bench, but he made significant contributions in attack and proved himself a valuable squad member. After nearly four seasons with the club, he was released.
Keith subsequently joined Colchester United and made a promising start, scoring four times in his first 12 matches. However, a serious Achilles injury suffered during the following pre-season proved a major setback. After spending two years attempting to recover his fitness, he was forced to retire from full-time football.
He later returned to Scotland and joined his hometown club, Peterhead, in a bid to continue playing part-time, but his playing career came to an end just eleven months later in May 2008.

Admittedly it was only awarded once as we are a disorganised rabble, but Marino was the first (and therefore only!) winner of the Leeds Greens' Champagne Moment of the Season Award. This came c/o Marino's epic winner in the comeback 3-2 win at Swindon Town in December 2002 (how can that be over 10 years ago?!). At a ground we rarely did well at, we found ourselves 2-0 up before the inevitable and frustrating comeback (including one from future Green Rory Fallon) before the game went into added-time all square. Where it is mentioned at the beginning of the text that Marino began his career at Non League Fraserburgh, you might like to make it more specific and state that it was at 'Scottish Highland Football League Club, Fraserburgh'.

Just to update Lionel's comment, in a subsequent re-write, we've now corrected 'non-league Fraserburgh' to 'Highland League Fraserburgh'.
