Came from: Crystal Palace Went to: Leatherhead
First game: 30 August 1978 Last game: 25 November 1978

The Mile End born midfielder served his apprenticeship at Selhurst Park but failed to establish himself in the capital. However, he was part of the successful youth squad that won the FA Youth Cup in 1977 and 1978, having signed professional terms in February 1976. He played just three times for the Eagles, but did score on his Football League debut in March 1977.
He moved to Home Park in August 1978 and went on to make eight starts for the Greens. His last was in Argyle's first-ever defeat by a non-league club in the FA Cup, to Worcester City, an event that might have hastened his departure. He went on to play non-league football for another team in green, Leatherhead.
Steve Brennan tragically died on 13 August 2015, aged 56, after a battle with cancer.
