SCOTT CROCKER
Full Name: Scott Lee Crocker
Born: 13 November 2002
Came from: Trainee Went to:
First game: 10 November 2020 Last game: 10 November 2020
Appearances: 1 (0/1) Goals: 0
A pupil at Ivybridge Community College, Crocker also played football for Elburton Villa, Plymstock United and Marine Academy Plymouth, and was spotted by Premier League Southampton whilst playing for Plymouth Schools in a match at Yeovil. He was invited for a trial at St Mary's, and played a full game for a young Saints side against Queens Park Rangers in March 2018, aged just 15.
Described as a natural goalscorer blessed with tremendous pace, Crocker decided that life at the top level wasn't for him. In June 2019, having been on the Green radar for a long time, Crocker signed apprentice forms for Argyle, and in November 2020 he made his first-team debut as a 66th minute substitute in an EFL Trophy victory at home to Newport County, three days before his 18th birthday. He was not alone that night; two other apprentices made their senior debut, including his old Ivybridge schoolmate, Finley Craske.
Crocker's two-year apprenticeship at Home Park was unluckily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and in May 2021 he was released by the club. However, he soon found a new home, crossing the Tamar to sign for Saltash United in the Western League Premier Division. Crocker later moved from Saltash to Buckland Athletic.
