Came from: Exeter City Went to:

Essex-born, to an Australian father, Watts signed his first professional contract with Southampton in 2019 at the age of 17. His debut followed in January 2021 in Southampton’s 2-0 FA Cup victory over Shrewsbury Town, with his Premier League bow coming just seven days later when he came off the bench to replace Danny Ings as the Saints slipped to a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal. In doing so, he became the 52nd Australian to play in England's top division.
In January 2022, Watts joined Crawley Town on loan for the remainder of the season but made just one solitary appearance, suffering a hamstring injury after coming off the bench against Carlisle United. The following campaign saw him join Morecambe Town, also on a loan deal, making his debut for the Shrimps in a 3-0 defeat against Peterborough United. His first goal for his new club came in the EFL Trophy against Everton under-21s, a game in which he also converted a spot-kick during a penalty shoot-out to give Morecambe a win against the Premier League youngsters. During his time with the Lancashire-based side, he made 30 appearances and scored three goals.
At the end of the 2022-23 season, Watts was released by Southampton and in September 2023, signed a short-term deal with Exeter City. He scored on his debut for the Grecians in a 1-0 victory over Cheltenham Town. In January 2024, he extended his contract until the end of the season with an option for a further year. After 48 appearances and five goals for City, Watts declined the offer of a new contract, opting instead to sign for Argyle in May 2025.
