** Adjusted for 3-point wins
Not one for the purists, more like a
classic cup tie with so much at stake, but 10/10 for drama and
excitement. Both teams needed the points, both played their hearts
out and both made mistakes. In the end the luck went with the
Greens; not our best display of flowing football but three points
thoroughly deserved for sheer effort and opportunism. And the goal
difference has now reached 40, a staggering figure that could
still prove to be our trump card.
