The
boundary wall at the rear of the Devonport End has become a bit of a
Home Park landmark. It was quite a striking construction when it was
built in the 1960s to replace a green-painted corrugated iron fence
(which I vaguely remember!). But the addition of barbed wire on top,
badly rusting over the years, flaking paintwork and many attempts at
graffiti, have left it looking the worse for wear in recent times.
The first
picture (of an excavated Devonport End) was taken four days ago when
the wall was still intact. The rest were taken today.
