The End of the Barn Park Entrance
If, like me, you were brought up in Peverell, the
Barn Park turnstiles and steps will hold very special memories.
That's all they are now.
The top row photos were taken (1) yesterday, (2) this morning and
(3) a few minutes later.
The lower row shows what's left. Nothing but debris, including
gates.
Most startling of all, have a look at the June 17th page to remember
how it was.
The Devonport End, R I P
Thanks to Stuart Caskey for these two sad images.
The Excavation Begins
We've seen the demolition, now the effort seems to
have turned to excavation. The stands will be built at pitch level, so
there's a lot of earth to shift. The top two pictures show a big hole
in the 'Sleepers', and below, from inside and out, a breakthrough at
the Barn Park End.
Pitch Drainage
Nothing to do with Barr and the redevelopment - new
drainage pipes will hopefully avoid a repeat of last season's
problems.
Thanks
to the Club for giving access to Home Park, and to Steve Hill for
his help.
