** Adjusted for 3-point wins
What can I say? I began the last home
game summary with just that phrase, and for most of this match it
was Bournemouth all over again. The balance of 'chances' sums it
up, 29-6 to us, yet as before, the ball would happily hit the
woodwork but no way go in. Worse this time, Port Vale took the
lead in a rare second half attack. It looked all over, the
never-say-die effort from the Argyle 12 would not be enough. Then
the inspired substitutions; a goal from Buster; surely we couldn't
do it; up popped Stoney; Home Park went wild!
