Back to GoS-DB Hub Find Another Player JOHN PEACHEY Born: 21 July 1952 Came from: Darlington Went to: Barnstaple First game: 16 August 1980 Last game: 21 March 1981 Appearances: 3 (1/2) Goals: 0 Peachey was spotted playing non-league football for Hillingdon Borough and given a shot at turning professional by York City in 1973. However he made just eight appearances for the Bootham Crescent side before moving to Barnsley. Staying at Oakwell for five years and clocking up over a century of games, the Cambridge-born forward played for The Tykes 127 times, scoring 31 goals, and also spent a month on loan at Darlington in the 1975-76 season. In 1978 he moved to Feethams permanently, before moving to Home Park in July 1980. His spell in Green was to be a short one, making just three appearances and failing to find the net, before moving into local non-league football with Barnstaple Town.
