Back to GoS-DB Hub Find Another Player STEVE ADAMS Born: 25 September 1980 Came from: Trainee Went to: Sheffield Wednesday First game: 01 December 1998 Last game: 05 March 2005 Appearances: 177 (146/31) Goals: 7 Plymouth-born Adams began his career as a trainee with his hometown team, working his way up to the first-team squad, where he played primarily as a defensive midfielder. He was an ever-present member of the side that won Division Three in 2001-2002 and also a vital member of the team that won the Second Division two years later. He left Argyle to link up again with Paul Sturrock, at Sheffield Wednesday, but injury and Sturrock’s departure led to his release after just two years. He again joined Sturrock, this time at Swindon Town, before moving on to Torquay United. Whilst at Plainmoor he had loan spells with Forest Green Rovers and Truro City.
