Adams, a full-back who was born in Torrington, served in the R.A.F. and played for their representative side before joining Argyle in 1957. He made just one appearance for the club before leaving to join Headington (now Oxford) United. He went on to coach, and briefly manage, Wycombe Wanderers and some years later played a handful of games for Montreal Olympique in the NASL.

From John Pickford in Sainghin-en-Melantois, France on 12/04/2016 ...
Graham Adams left Argyle for Headington Utd - now Oxford Utd - and while he was there spent time in the off-season coaching in Bermuda. When I read about this in the Herald I wrote to him because our family had links with Bermuda when my father's ship was stationed there and we lived there for two years when I was a toddler. Graham was kind enough to write me a very long letter about football in Bermuda, his time at Argyle and Headington United.
He later had an interesting and varied career. In 1971 he became the first foreigner to be involved with coaching the South Korean national team, having in 1967 managed the Bermudan national team to a silver medal at the Pan American Games.
His only game for Argyle was a 4-0 victory over Coventry City - he had some very distinguished team mates in that game as the record shows. I only wish that I had kept in touch with him for longer.
