Back to GoS-DB Hub Find Another Player TONY CAPALDI Born: 12 August 1981 Came from: Birmingham City Went to: Cardiff City First game: 03 May 2003 Last game: 03 April 2007 Appearances: 153 (131/22) Goals: 12 Norwegian born Capaldi joined Argyle from Birmingham City. He progressed through the youth ranks at Birmingham and had a spell on loan at Hereford United before joining Argyle after a short trial period. A Northern Ireland international who won more caps whilst playing for the club than any other player, Capaldi was a regular on the left side of midfield or at left-back during his four years at Home Park, and will be especially remembered for his long throw. He left Argyle after controversially rejecting a new contract and moved to Cardiff City on a free transfer, becoming a regular in the Cardiff side that reached the FA Cup Final in 2008. A knee injury saw him lose his place at Cardiff and he joined Leeds United on a short term loan.
