Daley joined Norwich City as a schoolboy but was released and spent time with his hometown club, Northampton Town. He returned to Norwich at the age of 13 and progressed through the ranks to the reserve side, and after scoring four goals in six games was promoted to the first team squad, making his debut as a substitute against Burnley in 2009. The following season Daley made his first start for the Canaries, against Sunderland in the League Cup. He made ten appearances for Norwich in all competitions during the campaign as the club were promoted to the Championship.
With his first team chances limited, Daley joined Stevenage on loan in January 2011, a move that had been on the cards earlier in the season but was delayed by a thigh injury. He made just two appearances during the one month loan before returning to Carrow Road, and was then told he could leave on a free transfer at the end of a season that saw Norwich promoted to the Premier League. A pacy winger who can also play up front, he impressed Peter Reid during a pre-season trial and joined Argyle on a one-year contract.
In August 2011, Daley scored his first goal in senior football with a memorable long-range effort against Exeter City in the Football League Trophy, followed in February 2012 with his first league goal in a 4–0 win over Accrington Stanley. However at the end of the 2011–12 season, having failed to sustain his early promise, he was released by manager Carl Fletcher.
After leaving Home Park, Daley played five games in two months for Lincoln City in the Football Conference (tier 5) before moving to league rivals Braintree in October 2012, where he spent nearly two seasons and chalked up 62 appearances and eight goals. He then spent the 2014-15 season with another National League side, Dartford, playing 32 times and scoring once.
In the summer of 2015, Daley, still only 25, moved to National League South (Tier 6) side Chelmsford City after a successful trial. He scored seven times in 90 games for the Clarets, but in January 2018 he left the club and retired from football.
